Crucifixion of Jesus
This convex shaped gilded silver coin is dedicated to the “World Heritage”. The crucifixion of Jesus is an event that occured during the 1st century AD. Jesus, whom Christians believe to be the son of God as well as the Messiah, was arrested, tried, and sentenced by Pontius Pilate to be scourged, and finally crucified. Collectivly reffered to as the Passion, Jesus’ redemtive suffering and death by crucifixion represents the central aspects of Christian theology, including the doctrines of salvation and atonement.

The reverse depicts the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The coin is designed to match the original “Crucifixion” image, located in the German Museum of Applied Arts in Berlin. The details are beautifully designed, and the characters offset themselves, due to the gilding.
The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
The coin is packaged inside an elegant and rich wooden box. It is in a beautiful case, that itself is a perfect stage to this remarkable coin. The Certificate of Authenticity is displayed on the inner packaging.
