Royal Mint Benjamin Bunny™ 2017 UK 50p Silver Proof Coin
The Icon of Beatrix Potter’s Work – Expected Release Dates for the 2017 Series
The adventurous hero of Beatrix Potter’s first book was so popular that ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’ became the first in a series of 23 ‘small books for small hands’.
The fourth & final coin in the 2017 series features Benjamin Bunny from ‘The Tale of Benjamin Bunny’. Benjamin Bunny and his cousin Peter Rabbit venture into Mr. McGregor’s garden to retrieve the clothes Peter lost there in The Tale Of Peter Rabbit. They find the blue jacket and brown shoes on a scarecrow, but Peter is apprehensive about lingering in the garden because of his previous experience. Benjamin delays their departure by gathering onions, which he wraps in Peter’s handkerchief, hoping to give them to his aunt, Peter’s mother.
The 925 sterling silver coin features colour printing, highlighting selective elements. The coin has been finished to Proof standard and comes in a clear acrylic presentation case.
