ASTERIX – 2022 France 10€ Proof Silver Coin

After the first collection launch, which celebrated the upcoming new album « Asterix and the Griffon » in 2021, once again, Monnaie de Paris keeps on  paying tribute to the most famous Gaul in 2022 for the second part of the collection.

The inseparable trio of the comic book appears on the obverse of the coin. Asterix, the main character from the Gallic Village in Armorica, is supported by his sensitive, brave best friend, Obelix. Dodmatix, the ecologist  dog, proudly backs up the adventures of our favourite characters. The year date « 2022 » is on the obverse.

The characters are colorised with a pad painting made by the artisans of la Monnaie de Paris, with the original colours of the comic book.

The comic’s emblematic trio is on the reverse of the coin. Here, Asterix and Obelix each lift one of the numbers of the value numeral of the coin, showcasing the characters’ overflowing energy. Idefix, the loyal companion of our favourite characters, assists the two best friends. The mention « RF » is also on the reverse.

Your coin ASTERIX – 2022 France 10€ Proof Silver Coin is presented in a themed Asterix box with a themed cardboard shipper.  A certificate of authenticity is enclosed.
