LORD OF THE RINGS™ FRODO™- 20th Anniversary 2021 New Zealand1oz Silver BU Coin

This coin celebrates the 20th anniversary of “The Fellowship of the Ring” as the first part of the successful film series that celebrated its world premiere in December 2001. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of The Lord of the Rings, NZ Post has issued this Premium Silver Bullion Coin. The motive shows the famous scene from the film in which the Hobbit Frodo™ reaches out his hand for the One Ring, so that it lands directly on his finger. In his sleeve, the phrase “Even the smallest person can change the course of the future” has been engraved. Additionally, the inscriptions “THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING”, “20th ANNIVERSARY” and the denomination “ONE DOLLAR” are included in the design.

Frodo™ was the nephew of Bilbo Baggins™ and was chosen by Gandalf™ to leave the Shire to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom. With the help of his strong will, his bravery, and not least the support of his companions, Frodo™ is able to master the arduous journey to Mordor, destroy the Ring, and end the terror spread by Sauron™.
