STEAMPUNK AVIATION – 2025 Cook Islands 3oz antiqued silver

Steampunk is and remains a cultural phenomenon. This subculture of science fiction, which affects everything from movies to fashion, has grown in popularity and influence since it was first mentioned in the 1980s. Loosely defined, it is about how people in the Victorian era, 200 years ago, imagined the future of today.

This is now the 6th edition of the successful series. As always, the combination of ultra-high relief in an antique finish with partially gold-plated elements is a particularly distinctive feature.

This time we are focusing on aviation and the various means of transportation that seemed possible with the means available at the time.

However, our designer has come up with something very special and incorporated 5 clues into the design that refer to the previous editions. Have fun discovering them!

Obverse

The obverse carries the King Charles III effigy and is issued under the authority of the Cook Islands. This insert is set in a Steampunk inspired background.

Packaging

It comes presented in a elegant collector’s box and is limited to only 888 pieces. A certificate of authenticity is enclosed.
