Gullweig – the goddess of wealth, which she herself symbolised, beautiful and shining. Being “living gold”, she aroused people’s desire and thirst for wealth. For this reason, attempts were made to burn her three times, after which, like eternal, indestructible gold, she was reborn even more beautiful and radiant (this refers to the alchemical process of hardening bullion). Over time, she became the epitome of demoralising desire and evil female magic.
