Widar, the son of Odin and giant Grid, is a god associated with silence and revenge. Because he only spoke when absolutely necessary, he was called “Silver.” In Germanic mythology, it is described as a god of extraordinary strength and unwavering determination.
He lived in a quiet grove called Widi, which was constantly overgrowing with vegetation, because Widar preferred to travel the world on his horse.
Widar symbolizes renewal and a new beginning, as it was one of the few to have survived the apocalyptic end of the world. During Ragnark, he will aveil his father, killing Fenrira, shattering his lower jaw with his shoe and then tearing the wolf with his hands. In the new world, he will be one of the rulers of the gods and, together with his half-brother, Walim, will build temples for the gods.
